Mar. 10th, 2006 08:24 pmOkay, so it was 30-something degrees for a daytime high earlier this week. It got up to 80F today. People were walking around in shorts. I nearly had to turn on the AC. And it's supposed to get back down to 40F by next Wednesday. Seriously, the weather needs to make up its damn mind. I know Baltimore only has two seasons--Muggy and Cold--but the border between the two needs to be a bit better defined.
Speaking of B-more, an entertaining recommendation by the Reverend Brother Deacon Pastor Doctor Nicholas D. Wolfwood:
One Piece cosplayers at Otakon should take over and steal the USS Constellation, sail it around the Inner Harbor, and raid Fell's Point. Over a hundred bars in such a small area is a challenge even for Shanks cosplayers, but I'm sure we'll manage.
I personally am in favor of ganking the Stanley Norman--I'm sure the CBF won't be too ticked at us for stealing one of the last skipjacks still sailing the Chesapeake. It has the advantage of needing only a small crew, and if we get bored we can go dredge for oysters. Unfortunately, it's a bit of crapshoot as to whether the ship will actually be in the Inner Harbor at all that weekend.
If all else fails, we can get pictures in front of the pretty boats and then go get drunk.
I'm writing, really I am. I just had to join the rest of the county in going outside and running around like an idiot because it was nice today. Squee, the taking of the walks without the freezing of the ass!
